ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ 'Ā'ishah said, "The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, had two garments made of a thick rough fabric, that would become heavy after he had sat and sweat in them. When some fabric came from the Levant to a Jewish merchant, I suggested, 'Would you send someone to purchase two garments from him, and pay him whenever you can afford to.' So he sent someone to the Jewish merchant, who said, 'I know what he wants! He wants to swindle me out of my money!" The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, 'He lied. Indeed, he knows that I am among the most mindful of God and the most careful to return a trust.'" ”
